There wouldn't be this much opposition to it if there hadn't been some pretty public posts (with screenshots) regarding; 1)An Ice dom leader's attitude toward this/toward mercs, 2) the fact that there was even a vote on whether or not to ask everyone else to play by Ice and Nature's self-imposed rules for this conquest.

Choosing not to use merc threads has happened in the past, it's going to happen again. The issue is how Ice and Nature have gone about it this time.
