i don't think you'll find many people who disagree that bullying children (or bullying anyone) is bad. but at the same time, it's important not to start witch hunts against people because of unsubstantiated claims. if we perpetuate a culture where anonymous, unbacked claims about people can be used as evidence that they're awful people, without question...well, i'm sure you can see the potential for misuse and harassment there. it's already a thing that happens, and it's not okay, so we don't need more of it. and i understand that it's frustrating when you're an actual victim with a justified grudge. but a level of skepticism when told something without evidence is important in situations like this, bc otherwise innocent people could get smeared or hurt. you know you're telling the truth, but how would strangers know that?
with rhea, this isn't the first time someone's made a claim like yours, so i don't personally find it hard to believe, even though no one ever wants to back up their claims. but the thing is, there's plenty of stuff floating around about how awful she is that i also believed..until i saw the actual context or full caps, and realized they'd omitted information or purposely spun things to be inflammatory. i try not to make the same mistake twice.
