My way around this is that I have a personal policy to only gift with the expectation of no reply, and I'll deliberately try to gift a whole bunch of people with small things without keeping track of who or how many people I've messaged. My overwhelming experience has been that people say thank you, enough so that the few people who don't reply aren't really noticeable among those who do. I'm sure there have been times when people haven't replied and I flat out haven't noticed, simply because I wasn't waiting on a specific number of replies or looking for usernames. :)



Optional bonus challenge: If I can't think of anything to gift someone who's page I've landed on, I go through their lair and leave a nice comment about their lair or one of their dragons.
