Okay, okay, OT and to be perfectly honest this whole subthread thread is, but I gotta grab the mic and PSA here a moment: if your pain meds are properly calibrated to your pain, they don't make you loopy, for 90% of people minumum. Get the right kind/dosage, and they effectively "vanish". The people you know with chronic pain who are on long-term painkillers are not walking around high as balls, they're just walking around. The fact that you would be high as balls if you took one means nothing, because you're taking something for a non-existent condition and of course you'll get a different reaction, just like you would if you shot up insulin as a non-diabetic.
