i've tried in the past, but old dragons are the new hotness and i think a lot of people lurk the AH for them. it's actually easier to find old dragons because you don't have to click them to figure out their age/ID, and when you sort by price the oldest ones will always show up first.
i'm not an oldie collector myself but it seems like the easiest way to look for them is to search with a max price cap of a pretty common price point, like.. 50k or something, then sort by price descending and look at the very top ones. then maybe go down or up by 5k each time and see if anything decently old shows up. still tedious, but a little less involved than hunting for firstgens. of course you can always potentially miss old dragons being sold at weird prices, but i'm not really sure how to reach those...
maybe that's common knowledge? i haven't seen any guides on it though, so i dunno!
