Same. I actually only learnt a bit more about those people once I started frequenting AR more (DR's alphabet soup pisses me off and I don't even understand why that has to be a thing on an anon tumblr). If the issue doesn't involve me, which I hope never happens, I tend to not keep the details in my mind, only the general impression that those people aren't ones to associate with.

However, I'm not one to turn down friend requests unless they're random, and I could see newbie me, say, striking up a conversation with Rhea without knowing of her penchant for drama. Especially if I was Nature flight, with her being a prominent member there. In fact, I do know a few people in her friends list - it makes me cringe a bit that they're there but at the same time I know it's unrelated. Even if it wasn't, sometimes it's easier to accept a request and never talk to the person than to deny and deal with drama.

I like how FR doesnt tell people when others block them, I think it would be nice if friends lists were private too (or to give us the option to hide). It's not fair to judge people based on their friends but, to some extent, it's unavoidable.
