Why? Honest question. If you've read it, it in highlights and the notification goes away. Only reason I can think of needing one for is auction expired messages, and that's what the delete button is for.
I'd prefer a take all button for stuff on the current page and then a select all and delete to get rid of messages. Though what I really want is a pickup till or something instead of pmsgs from the AH.
There's no reason for a mark read you can click it and get rid of the notif and highlight already.
