using supernatural gifs as page breaks is so tacky though

it's a shop where they're advertising their own works, which are still images. gifs are going to be way more eye catching, and there are more gifs than accents. like, doubly so. it's awful from a design standpoint, and obnoxious in that supernatural really doesn't have anything to do with the accents other than being vague inspiration for them at best.

also photoshop filter ~aesthetic~ gifs just remind me of LJ icon drama personally lol

Yeah, the eye catching thing makes sense. I might have had a different opinion if I had been browsing to try to look at the accents in particular rather than the shop layout.

There's also the fact that some people like yours truly block gifs, for both photosensitivity and bandwidth reasons. It looks terrible with all those broken images in there... really not the best design choice.
