if the pings are made in a new post and then edited out, this is an error with FR. as long as pings are made in a new post and the post is not deleted everything should be peachy but FR fucks that up sometimes.
if the pings are made in a new post and then the post is deleted, or if the pings are made in a preexisting post on page 1, you always get pinged somewhere random and that's the users' fault
