Does anyone think they might have changed the drop rate for eliminates?
On the one hand, lots of new players are soaking up eliminates (increased demand), but on the other all those players are taking those dragons into the coliseum where eliminates should be dropping (increased supply). I would think if the demand for stones was really outpacing the supply, the price of ambush should be going up as well (especially since you need two ambush stones for every physical build, and usually even one for mage/healer builds). Or is this just an inflation bubble of people hoarding eliminates?
I bet the number of people who farm coli is only a FRACTION of the number of people who buy stones and make teams.
I'm a pretty die hard fodder leveller and eliminates don't drop nearly as often for me as they do for a friend who specifically farms other venues for them.
I have wondered. Especially because the price of ambushes is staying constant. I know I have also gotten more ambushes from Pinkerton than eliminates, so that might be something as well?
It's a few things. More people seem to be leveling fodder than actually grinding the coliseum for loot. Most of these people are using a Mire Flyer, and the Mire does not drop eliminate.
In addition, each element now has a preferred venue for grinding during a festival, not all of which drop eliminate. In the past, everyone used to crowd into the Arena, which drops eliminate seemingly more frequently than other venues.
Finally, there are just more people getting into the coliseum now than there used to be. Higher number of players = higher demand for the stones, so prices naturally rise.
DA Only two. The Mire and the Crystal Pools. The other zones all drop it at varying rates. (I can't believe the Rainsong Jungle, which only has the bosses give eliminate, or the Boreal Wood, which only has the Yeti give it, drops it as much as the venues that have two enemies with potential, like the Woodland Paths, where both the Strangler and Blooming Strangler give it. But maybe the drop rate is higher for the bosses?)
I don't think that specific enemies drop eliminate. It's listed in the encyclopedia's coliseum venue guides as an uncommon zone drop, as opposed to the enemy drops. Unless you know something I don't know about how it's coded, in which case, please share! I find that stuff interesting.
AYRT I don't actually know how they would know, but the coli drops guide has it listed for specific enemies. http://flightrising.com/main.php?board=gde&id=1081675&p=mb
Yeah, that. As far as I'm aware, elim, eggs, silks, and other stuff like that just drop randomly on X% of battles, with nothing to do with which enemies you're fighting. That's why in the encyclopedia they're listed as zone drops while enemy-specific ones are listed next to that enemy.
i really thought eliminates/ambushes/rally were like enemy specific. like in bamboo falls, i swear it's the tengu (eliminate) and the wandering surgepriest (ambush) that have consistently been the ones to drop stones for me, and chimera in the eliminate, etc. i haven't paid enough attention in other venues. also eggs do drop from all enemies, but aren't they also limited to enemies dropping only eggs they have the alignment of, or am i completely imagining things.
On the coli encyclopedia pages the eggs and battlestone drops are listed in a general "unusual/rare drops" section on the bottom. If they were attached to a specific monster, they'd be listed in the monster loot tables up top.
I understand reading the page that way, but I don't think this is true. Black tulips are listed in the unusual drops, and they definitely come from specific enemies only. (Blackwing Croaker, Nightsky Fuiran) They must use a different loot table, but I'm certain they're tied to those enemies. So it's likely IMO that the uncommon stones are the same way.
i swear i've gotten egg drops from battles that contained no enemies of the same element of the egg, but i never paid enough attention to be completely sure of that...
