... that we will get new mods this week. new Words on the Wind will come at the end of this month and normally mods were always announced with it? correct me if I'm wrong
Tbf it's probably going to consist of a few questions that could have been answered in Q&A, a preview of a distant gene, the assurance that they're still working on the crossroads they announced back in September 2014 and maybe a competition and/or vote of some kind.
Do you actually like that kind of thing? Genuinely curious.
i like that kind of thing! last WotW was really informative on the new CR2.0, it was nice to see they listened to feedback and implemented one-way trades. they said they were in final testing stages at that point, so i wouldn't be surprised if we finally got a concrete date/window for it. maybe. the past two "distant" gene set previews have actually released really quickly (aside from petals which they pushed back and that's dumb but w/e). gone are the days of waiting 8 months for bar and daub, thank fuckin god.
also, there also isn't a lot more they can retread from past WotWs? artifracture released and NotN is over... it's possible they could drop some new info on upcoming stuff. it's possible it'll be fucking nothing too. but new gene previews are always exciting imo and they've been pretty consistent with those.
But that's kinda what people wanted from the admin. Sure, lots of people scream for ETAs, but the admins won't do them, and for good reason. Then people said, WELL AT LEAST GIVE US A HEADS UP THAT SOMETHING IS HAPPENING, and thus, we get the vagueness that is wotw.
I know it's what people wanted, but sometimes what people want isn't what happens, so I was a bit curious about whether people get anything out of it or whether they're meh about the whole thing.
I'm pretty ambivalent/neutral towards WotW, but it seems that everybody else is either hella hostile towards any criticism (or even neutral comments/questions judging by the Lord of Salinity with their panties in a bunch in this thread) about it or hostile in the other direction to the point where they're angry it even exists.
am i intereste din your sad little list of whines? no. fortunately, wotw is generally a little more substantial than your strawman makes it out to be. not your cup of tea? don't read it. but if you think the world needs to be spared of aequorin's drivel, then it should probably be spared of yours as well
Uhhh ... those weren't whines, Salty McSaltnon, it was a rundown of what is usually featured in WotW and a question.
I don't even mind WotW, so if you're taking a question and an observation as "whiny" I think you need to remove your lips from the admins' butts before you do yourself some damage.
i think...
