nayrt but i think this is one of those instances where people started with a good idea ("it's bad for american eagle or whatever to sell shitty faux native american prints and market it as ~exotic") and took it to a bad place
yeah, and that example is absolutely legit cultural appropriation since its exploitive. and i deff should have included explotive portrayal as one of the exceptions to representation being cool
its a good idea with good intentions. but i dont think people fully get /why/ that sort of thing is gross, so...they ran it right into the ground
