No, she is not right, because she is parroting others words to twist them around, while meaning none of it. No one in that whole conversation was saying Death Threats or even threatening violence was acceptable. The ones she was arguing with were simply stating that it happens in the heat of anger and most of the time, it isn't really how the person saying those violent things really feels, so not to make those flying leap assumptions that that person is out to get you. (In one long sentence since I am sure you stop reading after the first sentence as is prominent with your m.o.)

Please try and use your brain, ok?

what the people in that post were doing was justifying pretty vitriolic and unacceptable behavior. they were definitely talking about finding judoon and "rip[ping him] limb from limb," which even in the heat of anger with no intent behind it should not be tolerated because it's a shitty, gross way to talk about another human being. it doesn't matter if they intend to do it, it's just cruel.

The people in the Tumblr chain are saying two things. 1) what was said was not a death threat 2) regardless, it was a shitty thing to have said.

Just because something is not a death threat exactly doesn't mean that it is harmless. The people in the thread are saying it was a mean comment but ultimately a harmless (if tasteless) joke between friends that no one should be upset over. But there is a level of vilence and rage in comments like that where I feel someone could legitimately be bothered by it and it shouldn't be dismissed as just a joke.

Please read the whole Tumblr chain before saying dumb af shit like this. So many levelheaded, civil arguments have been given and Elisabitch has ignored basically all of them. Instead she calls names and simplifies the argument to her advantage.

She's also a fucking shit counselor, seeing as that she 1. can't spell HIPAA right, which even the most clueless undergrad can do, and 2. is unable to see that gray areas can and do, in fact, exist - as evident in her posts/tags saying bullshit like "both sides can't be right".
