I forgot how all of my favorites from gen 1 were fire types lol. I evolved my first eevee last night and got a flareon :D now I need the other two! I also desperately want a ninetails. I've been playing since it came out and I have only caught 1 vulpix.

There is also a fierce battle to control a tejano radio station gym :))

I'm the blue team! My whole reason to pick it was basically "i like articuno." The gym closest to me is dominated by some seriously OP pokemon. How did they get their CP to 400+ so fast???

Blue FTW! I was walking a trail today and randomly found two gyms along the route, and strangely close to each other. One was a trailhead and ok that's cool, but one was like an underwhelming landmark. ??? Who knows how they pick this shit?

Although seriously how do ppl have such badass Pokemon already X

I'm on blue! This afternoon I caught a Gengar, which is my absolute fav, at the biggest park in my town!! That came right after I slipped, busted my ass, and slid a ways down a hill going to a PokéStop though.....

The cemetery in my town has a couple dozen Stops and three Gyms since there are a lot of really beautiful old family monuments in there. While making laps for more Pokéballs, I saw a cute little older man (like mid-60s to 70s) walking around playing too! There was also a city police car driving around there that we initially though was monitoring the people playing PokéGO, but when they drove past, we saw they were also on their phones and stopping to hit the Stops too, aha.

There's also an Arts Park near the library in the middle of town with three Spots, and a lot of people gather there to place Lure Modules and get tons of stuff. The library itself is a Gym, and last I checked it was held by red and had four Hypno and a Snorlax as the Gym Pokémon.

A cousin and I also managed to capture a Gym by the YMCA for a few hours today, which was a really cool feeling!

That so cool nonny! A friend and I have been trying to catch a ghastly since the game went live but we just aren't having any luck! I can't wait until they open up trading.

shoutout to all my fellow players that live in rural/suburban areas that have lame pokemon and no pokestops

like i'm still loving the game but to get to the only accessible pokestop i gotta walk two miles to lurk outside a private pool

Ugh this is me right now. I have a friend that lives in a bigger city and she's gained 12 levels in two days and caught tons of pokemon and she doesn't even care about pokemon :)). She started playing because I put some pictures of fb and thought they were cute. Meanwhile I've got my millionth pidgey. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why I'm holding off on upgrading my phone to be able to play tbh
I want to play but it will be just my luck that I'll spend all that money and not even be finding pidgeys orz

Yup. I live way out in the sticks and the only place so far where I can access gyms or pokestops have been at work. So it has to wait for my lunch break.

Blue and SCYTHER! My favorite pokemon! I'm so glad.

Strangest would be... a bike rack. Yeah, a bike rack. It's supposedly the town's "sign", but it's just this small blue bike rack.

Valor! My bellsprout that took like 20 pokeballs to catch! The red "kaboose" sitting in the field next to the library I work at!

Valor, favorite Pokemon so far is growlithe, and highest CP I've caught is a 600-something pinsir (can't check exact stats right now as the server is down).
