I hear vinegar is good for getting rid of ants but haven't tried it myself. Make sure you clean up ALL your food, and they should disappear after a while.
Is it a glass crack or a crack along the edge of the window? You may be able to caulk it up. Short term solution may be to just put tape over the length of the crack.
Ants are downright benign compared to roaches and mice. :V
