it's sad when you don't even have to go "Who?" because you know exactly what it's about

The fish for the swap? They drop from the monkey bots in the workshop.

Ohh no wonder I couldn't find them listed in gathering list threads or such.

Thanks Nonny!

Love the new familiars! And that I have the materials ready. Also, I always like new gathering items, so that's fun for me anyway.

Not really a fan of the art updates--they clash with the other old items now, especially the squirrel skull with the rest of the bones. Do the admins intend to update everything? It'd be a ton of icons to redo, but I guess it's doable.

Eh, I'll get used to it, but I'll miss the old Intact Parchment art a little.

Yeah, there wasn't really anything wrong with the old art so I'm wondering why they bothered. The new parchments and rocks look nice, though.

idk, compared to the more recent art, the old items looked pretty bad.

a ayrt rt

I agree about the clay/shale/obsidian (the old stuff didn't look like what it was supposed to be, IMO), and the new Crumbling Relief looks nicer too, but honestly I liked the Intact Parchment better--a bit cartoony, which I guess is what they wanted to get rid of, but to me it looked better than the new version. And I liked the old Broken Clay Pot a bit better, but the art on that one didn't change very much by comparison to the others.

It's not a big deal! But the redone stuff really clashes a lot with the other old artwork (...the squirrel skull looks really creepy next to the old cartoony sparrow skull, for example), and now I'm kind of wondering how many items they're planning to redraw, and if it's going to mess up my plans to give all my permas bios.

What kills me is the number of users complaining about 'well you could have done apparel updates first' like....

What is easier to do, draw 26 pieces of variable sized art for every 1 apparel piece, or draw 1 piece of art to be resized into 1 85x85 item tile? Which do you think is easier, please enlighten me

+1

I don't mind them doing updates to the older items. Some of them definitely need it!

They did already redraw the old armor sets, so I don't think it's too farfetched to think they might do it with some other things (that really do need it tbh), but like you say that's something that takes longer (and might happen when they have a larger art team.)
