i know its not likely, but i think it's possible they never saw your pings. i know i sometimes lose track of mine and miss some tbh
if i were you i'd message them to make absolutely sure before writing them off as purposely ignoring you. they might be yeah, but i know id feel awful if i assumed someone was and it turned out they just never got my message
