I don't get it either. Plus I've seen plenty of people talk about what they want to do once they join, since they've been following the game/missed previous reg windows.
So it's not like every newbie joining has never played on another petsite or have never heard of FR before. There's plenty of offsite resources for people to learn about it and how it works before they join.
