same omg

Having mixed feelings about the artist though. You can be too lazy to read tutorials if you want to, that's entirely your prerogative, but it's really not =that= hard. I think I would rather have a GASP that isn't constantly being attacked than a """foolproof""" one

Tbh Tir comes across as super rude when they do that imo, but i'm wondering if this explains why i haven't been getting as many pings lately, despite having signed up for the new GASP. By which i mean, the more popular artists are just...not using it. =/

I hope that's not the case.

+1

It seemed kinda pushy to me and not in a good way. :\ People should choose to use a pinglist on their own, not be badgered into it.

i feel like i've been actually getting more pings, tho mostly from newbies who don't really know how to ping properly?

people seem to be used to GASP being very hands off so when they use new GASP and casually mention it's confusing, tiriea jumps on them and they get dragged into a discussion about GASP features/tutorials/etc that they weren't prepared for lol

yeah i'm really worried now about how many really nice accents i might have missed :'(

yeah imo she comes off as very rude and pushy? like, as someone who writes guides and organizes junk for people on this site, i understand how frustrating it is to work rly hard on something and then have people complain that its too complicated when they havent made an apparent effort to understand it, but you cant force people to use things. tiriea didn't actually apologize or solicit feedback on how to make it better, they just got pretend defensive when someone said they couldn't be bothered with it and then continued to try and force them to use it even though the person said multiple times they werent interested

da

ngl, i found it offputting that the artist said they couldnt be arsed (i loathe that kind of reasoning), but in tiriea's place i think that, even if i offered to use the pinglist for them that time, i would also ask if they would have any feedback on how to make it easier to use

ayart,

yeah, that's why I have mixed feelings ~ on one hand Tir's behavior is not great (but man they sure are committed to it), but on the other hand I don't particularly care for the artists (self proclaimed) lazy reason for not using it

though also as someone who writes a lot of process guides at work I will agree (with another non who posted) it is frustrating when people just will not use your stuff because its too complicated no matter how clearly you think you've written it, but then that's kind of the point where you need to look for feedback and ask yourself how you can improve the process and guides to where people will actually want to use it

I mean I've seen three artists saying "not pinging gasp bc new one is confusing/not sure how to work it" (or not being able to find the thread because it wasn't sticked).

Granted, these were all big name accent artists (and I was on their personal lists) but it kind of bugs me.

Could GASP 2.0 be simpler, yes, but knowing that it can't be vandalized I would have thought more accent makers would use it.

(like when pinglist harrassment skyrocketed it felt like fewer people were using gasp v1.0/or maybe I was afraid people stopped using it).
