it seems ambiguous enough to me to go either way? tone can be really hard to communicate over text alone sometimes, and the subtle difference between "yep, i got it." "yep. i got it." and "yep, i got it!" changes quite a bit. i highly doubt they meant to be rude, but eh
If it were just that, I'd agree, but the addition of "It's [amount]" pushes it squarely into rude territory to me. Not inexcusably rude, but a bad idea, nonetheless.
Though, even if they didn't intend to be rude, (actually, especially then) a heads-up about it would be helpful.
"yes. it's xkt, i got it." "yes, it's xkt! i got it~ c:"
and while it couldnt hurt to ask the attendant to be more careful, but it doesnt really sound like they were being malicious or setting out to offend imo
DA This is it for me as well. It is the inclusion of the amount. If it had just been "got it!" I think that would have been fine. It really reads to me like "you did this three times already. I've got it, ffs. I know it is xkt. Stop bothering me."

(Anonymous) 2016-08-08 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)The exclamation mark is shouty, the tilde is smarmy and the face is condescending. Like "yes, child, I know it's the same c:". Yuck.
Funny how perception of written stuff varies between people.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-08 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)which is the thing
no matter how they said it, their tone had a chance to offend someone. the former bothers op, the latter bothers you
and thats why this seems really dumb to me
