anyone remember when the familiar and feather apparel images were from? I know the cape image was around fall 2013... that means a new breed has been far enough along in development to have a finished template (for the apparel to fit on) for nearly three years now
the feather apparel first started circulating a little over a year ago
and they already kinda (very subtly) confirmed that a new breed has been in the works for quite some time now (and it's my understanding that it's already finished), but due to the massive list of new items and genes and colors they can't keep up... so they need new artists working on making them fit the unreleased breed
which means, as soon as we get a bunch of new artists, the new breed will be released
we can rule out wind and light since both have 2 breeds, versus every other flight which has only 1 breed
personally, I think it'll go to a starter breed flight - water, ice, plague or arcane - since starter breed dragons are the least "special" (out of those four, the most likely candidate is water because of the infinite complaints about how "GUARDIANS DON'T LOOK LIKE WATER DRAGONS!!1")
or
it's gonna be earth, to boost their popularity (snappers and earth flight in general needs more love)
