to be fair, she said "i wont be needing anything anymore" and then suddenly dropped off the face of the earth. for some of us who have personal experience with suicidal loved ones, or struggle with suicidal urges ourselves, that specific wording combined with her abrupt disappearance has the potential to be a red flag.
but she's alive and fine enough to delete her fr stuff, so. i wouldnt be surpised if she purposely made it ambiguous for drama's sake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's shitty af that she was ambiguous about it. She left lots of people worried about her. She couldn't have popped in to say, "I'm still alive, dw"? Oh, wait - no, she couldn't, because that wouldn't have been dramatic enough. :/
i agree tbh. whether or not it was outright purposeful, i dont buy that shes unaware of the worry about her that shes caused. and her silence sends the message that she doesnt care. shitty af.
I would normally agree with you that it would suggest a red flag if it was anyone else, but you have to remember this is Rhea. If there is anyone more narcissistic than the duo known as Kimye, it would be her. No way she would off herself ever. This is 100% for drama and sympathy.
in retrospect you're right. now that we have confirmation she's safe, it's pretty clearly either sloppy wording or a gross drama ploy. and i'm inclined to believe the latter, given her history.
but personally, i try to always treat these matters seriously, even if there's only a .05% chance it's legit. because that's a .05% chance someone's life is in danger. which is especially tricky on the internet, where it's sometimes impossible to get in touch with someone and ensure they're safe. i feel icky knowing that i possibly fell into her hands by worrying about her, but i don't regret taking a warning sign seriously.
What a disgusting mindset. Outwardly self-confident people are totally incapable of feeling or acting suicidal, totally! It's not like people are often at their most bombastic before killing themselves or anything! There is definitely a way to know *for sure* the type of person who kills themself. Especially over the internet and especially when you don't know the person particularly well.
You really need to get that hateboner checked, anon. What a fucking horrible way to think.
I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but I think it bears mentioning that threatening suicide and implying that you're (or your behavior is) somehow the cause of depression/anxiety is absolutely an abuse tactic. I've had to deal with multiple cases of it in my own family. Not fun.
Yes, you are correct about not 100% knowing what someone is going through (I even touched on it if you weren't partial to looking to stan her), but all the same, I think it is equally disgusting to fake it as Rhea does. Note I said, she ONLY does it when she is out of favor with her main group for mocking someone else with a history of depression. Never has there been an instance that her "depression" wasn't flared up due to her being a little shit and getting caught.
And maybe I have a hateboner, but only because I hate manipulative shit like her. What she does is makes people with actual depression look like whiny babies, looking to get out of trouble, which makes it harder for them to SEEK HELP. (Think people who claim to be rape victims to get perfectly innocent people in trouble. It hurts the credibility of real victims.)
Like I said "The Bitch Cried Wolf" is exactly what Rhea is.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-17 05:52 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, and the underlying issue (depression/anxiety, less so being actively suicidal) can be true and still be used as you mention.
