They're just baiting with terrible bait, Eldritch is so-so in popularity, but the hoarders are even more stingy than usual due to lair space issues iirc.
I asked 15kg if paying with partial items and substantionally less with pure, pricing based on auctions and flatsales, for refference an XXY eld/black went for 16-17kg or something in auction (which is lowballed lmao) while a different XYX sold for 10kg so woo.
But it really doesn't matter as that account got locked (deets for why is in the wanker thread RE Pereskaia) and so its rotting away.

this happened to me a few days ago. this disaster triple with mismatched genes is my daughter now
storytime: once when i was training up ah fodder, i had this hideous mismatched spiral with leaf crackle. while i leveled him i joked with a friend about how this was absolutely a dragon who was born to be exalted. she ended up feeling bad for him and getting attached to him because of this, and asked me to give her the ugly diasaterboy.
two years later, he’s a well-loved permadragon with new genes, art, and detailed lore about how her clan saved him from being murdered by mine and made him gorgeous. its the wildest thing.

I stopped trying to get interviews for a while because I had some things going on... but now I need to get back to job hunting and I'm terrified. Ugh. If only there was Subways and Starbucks and McD and all that crap in my country that I could easily apply online.

or look at local retail and grocery stores for openings, maybe temp clerical positions on job sites. ask your family and friends if they know about any openings in other areas.
I'm trying! I look online, I get the newspaper, I mention it to the acquaintances I meet (if they ask what I'm up to, that is). The unemployment is very high, but that's not what scares me. It's the talking to other people part. Interviews and making appointments on the phone sucks.
I kinda feel this, but battles mean you have to shell out a lot of money that needs time to build.

Part of it is that flights are waiting for 'free weeks' to conquest, and then with no competition it's a bit dull for spectators

I don't think it was terrible bait. I don't entirely agree with their pricing evaluation, but I agree with the base sentiment. Something is only "worth" what others will pay for it. And honestly, eldritch and buttercup go horribly together, with most of the eldritch gene options giving a green tint or green accents. The ones that didn't (well, they did a little but it wasn't as jarring as the others), ripple/current and bar/daub still had a lime green tongue, forcing the use of glimmer to cover it up. And imo, the ice eyes looked jarring against the color combo. So I think the first anon wasn't that far off in asking if your price was way too high. If a triple black range XXY went for 17k gems, I wouldn't expect this dragon to go anywhere near that. As one of the other anons said, I can get gen ones that work for cheap. Why should I pay 15k gems for one where I'm still forced into using certain genes because of the color combination? And still not entirely happy with how it looks?
Obviously people can set a sale price for whatever they want, but if they set it high, higher than others feel it is worth, then they shouldn't be surprised if they don't get a sale.
