Define "good"? Because I see plenty of gorgeous ones, so I think this is just you mistaking your personal taste fir universal fact.
And on that topic, I'll be honest: I love WC males, and I hate like 99% of the accents for them these days. Oh goody, let's see what extra wings, messing-with-the-face, vague drapery, or psuedo-exotic jewelry it is this time!
(And I'd also like more "unpopular" breed stuff. I'd frankly take some of that jewelry for an M Spiral at this point: there's like three in the color ranges I want, TY Kanojo, but none work for me. Hell, a simple horn gilding and a few other touches would do it, but nope!
Still doesn't make your taste universal.)
Re: why so many WCM accents there aren't even any good WCs in the AH most times
The Coatl Glut is a side-effect of the WC scrolls being locked away most of the time and there being no other breed on that tier/it being the highest. Most Coatls are basically trash right now; nearly any Coatl you breed will sell for a fraction of the price for the same colors/genes in a WC. They're turning into "oh I bred this with a WC for more eggs but I just wanted WCs, meh".
It depresses me a lot because I still love my kitty-dragons with the permanent blep, but all-too-often they go to the gods these days. And it could have been at least mitigated with another top-tier breed.
Re: why so many WCM accents there aren't even any good WCs in the AH most times
I think "dragon status symbol" would probably be more appropriate. G1s and oldies both fall into that category. Dragon classicim might be a bit much haha.
Re: why so many WCM accents there aren't even any good WCs in the AH most times
If I were to make a thread offering Baldwin services for money, how much should I charge for transmuting/crafting items? 10% of the item's AH price? Like if someone asked me to brew a festival accent that was 30kt on the AH, I'd receive 3kt?
also, how do people even profit off Baldwin? people have told me to "keep my cauldron running 24/7" for profit. I'm guessing basic melting does make you profit because you throw in materials or food that sell for like a few hundred t apiece and then spit out a sludge/goo/whatever that sell for a few thousands, but how do you profit when crafting bigger items like apparel?
Please only dragons that are genuinely pretty? I don't mind if your version of pretty doesn't match mine, but please, nothing that's Obviously Fodder. I'd prefer XXY's, but if it matches in some way/looks good, I'll look at anything. I would prefer it if the eyes matched *something* om the dragon, even if that's just the tert, and not the prim/sec.
Not really a PC fan, M or F, or a mirror fan, but I'll still take a look, yeah?
There are so many free Baldwin services out there where people just want the XP that I think you'd have difficulty charging for your services. I know there are people who have threads looking to hire melters, but I'm not sure what their prices are.
As for profiting off of Baldwin, I have tried making apparel and familiars but they rarely sell. I can usually at least get my money back for genes like skink and spinner, sometimes more. I think the biggest profit is materials. If you melt an apparel (either free from a chest or 3k on the AH) and you get white slime, that's a big profit. Same with melting other materials. If you melt something worth 25 treasure, you could get thousands from it. Making the intermediary materials like the variois reductions used to be profitable, but I havent checked in awhile so it might not be any more.
just popping in to say that standard rates for melting hover around 1kT / 1g (regardless of what the gem rate actually is; the math is simpler that way)
Sometimes I wonder if I am one of the few people on the site that is really meh towards male WC (females are dope btw) bc the males look like they are constantly worried about leaving the stove on.
I've taken to doing a Coli drop challenge just to give me some purpose. I get more excited about the Familiars/other rarer Coli drops than I do about the currency, but it gets me into venues I usually ignore.
Art and Adoptables. I also donate a good chunk to my flight's bank for future in or out of flight raffles. Depending on how much i like the familiar and apparel, i buy a ton of it. But it's mostly art/adoptables. I've gotten a bunch of that stuff this fest, it's great!
I just stopped grinding and simply get one familiar and 2-3 apparels (I don't buy vistas as I prefer the previous set). I see no need to get extras for reselling, especially seeing as even the prices for retired 2015-16 familiars are still ridiculously low.
I am honestly not surprised it's them, and even more happy they left my flight. They were an annoying asshole on our offsite chat, made all the more annoying by how they screwed us over a few times. I'll admit though that i thought they'd like....chilled out?
