I wish they would implement the idea someone had in the suggestions thread about camping. And only pull from exalted dragons. Because then the dragons wouldn't have skins or apparel. I'm usually good with the campings (although sometimes I have to zoom in), but there was one where for the life of me I couldn't figure out which was the dragon, and I'm guessing it is because it was appareled up. Considering I've had some very dressed dragons on those.
Light's probably next. I'm expecting Water to be last. As the seers they are the most likely to know what's going on elsewhere and why.
Okay, here's what's getting me. The other three things are drawn from FR items, right? Icons and actual apparel bits and fams. By logic that actually means it would be easier to write a bot that can complete this elaborate captcha than it would be to write a bot that does one of the more usual ones; you just need to peel the info about FR items out of their database.
I can't find the original comment where I whined about this (was the other coli revamp thread screened or am I just missing it?), but I feel the need to whine again. In principle, I am happy that more people can access the coli because of the rewrite. But selfishly, in practice, I hate what it is doing to fodder prices. At about 15 minutes after rollover, already there are only a few bonus dragons under 9k (and not by much!), and the cheapest non-bonus adults are starving at 7950 and 8k. (Followed by non-starving dragons at 8k, but still, awful.) I'm going to have to buy fodder breeders and breed my own fodder, I guess, as these prices are ridiculous and I am making much less profit than I was before the revamp.
Seeing more and more pillars makes me really think they dropped the ball on the earth pillar in a major way. Everything looks so awesome while the earth one fucking sucks.

a couple years ago 8-9k was the norm for fodder prices (dragons were already plentiful but it was the old color wheel), i feel like it's possible to afford training higher given new coli is faster
...for now, though. if prices keep going up, it will force everyone to start breeding and consequently put a soft "cap" on optimal profits from exalting. sigh

i enjoyed the shared story a lot but this was rly bad execution from a community perspective imo
it was doomed to cause drama from the beginning
esp with plague involved, which does have a small subset of very loud people who think the flights always being oppressed by fr staff

Plague/Nature where always regarded as sister flights, even in lore. I kinda understand where the admins are coming from. Besides the major part of the story focus on the plague lands, so plague was definitely not forgotten in there.

devils advocate: i see this sort of behavior a lot from younger lgbt+ people who are excited and passionate about discovering their identities and coming out. and fr does have a large population of teens.
granted im a slightly older lesbian and i kind of do the same thing. any character i can get my grubby hands on is gay until firmly Proven Otherwise. at which point they become bi/pan until proven otherwise. its more fun that way
(although im not convinced virtue signalling, as its been reclaimed/redefined by the internet, is even a thing)) (i’ll eat my hat if any of these folk are sitting there like “awww yeah, saying this character is a lesbian will get me lots of ally points on dragon neopets dot dom! im gonna look so virtuous!”)

i agree that its pretty clear where they were coming from, but id hope theyd know their community well enough to know that people are going to pull out the pitchforks if they feel like their flight is being shafted
personally i think both flights were represented wonderfully. but no matter how well they did, doing it this way was doomed from the start to cause hurt feelings and drama imo. bc no matter how much focus both flight get, someone’s still going to be upset they didnt get their own thing

There are already ways to make sure you're putting the right dragons where, if you don't stop to verify you've clicked the right dragons, that's not The admins fault??

Mistakes and or/regrets happen. If the admins go such great lengths to make a dragon restoration function they could make such a basic function as abandoning nests.
This is why I always hit the preview button first. Then I pretty much know right away is something's not right.
Though I will say it'd be nice if there was some kind of check box on the dragon's profile where you could click it and remove them from the breeding list. I'm not afraid of misclicking but most of my lair I have no plans for breeding and it'd be nice if I didn't have to scroll through my entire lair each time I went to set up a nest.

Let me just say I don't care for the feature the nons are suggesting, I'm just giving a different angle on the matter.
I'm sure Preview is sometimes helpful. Not when your fodder breeders look like mine, though. I just buy cheap dragons who look good and don't bother with their color ranges. So the babies look horrible anyway. If I accidentally pick a G1, I wouldn't know it by the preview unless a different breed is in the mix.

i do this too, i just dont trust my own perception because im mentally ill as fuck and recovering from a lot of gaslighting :x im always afraid im seeing it wrong and im gonna ruin my g1s by fucking up. which isnt frs problem but i wanted to vent anyway
