this, man. I feel like a lot of the newer coli familiar designs are overly detailed too, and that they don't read very well in the actual coli imo, and it's especially glaring in the venues they revamp and flood with new enemies. like I could barely tell the new chimeras in the updated arena were even chimeras until I took a closer look; their designs were so BUSY.

though to my surprise I actually quite like a lot of the new waterway familiars oddly enough; they look pretty nice in the coli, but the palette on a lot of them is so bright and saturated that they don't mesh too well with the older enemies they now accompany. the toridae are the worst offenders imo, especially the white one.

does anyone else feel that way, like a lot of the newer coli familiars don't scale down to coli size all that well, or that new familiars clash with the old ones when added to a newly revamped venue?
