You're not alone, anon! I once let a girl like that lead me on for over a year (I'm also a girl, btw). She was constantly trying to play me against her boyfriend (she told him she had feelings for me). She was always claiming they were on the verge of breaking up. She was always telling me how perfect I was. We went out on "dates" all the time, even away on some trips together, and nothing ever happened. When she did eventually dump the bf, she found a new guy right away. I washed my hands of her and it was hard at first, but I know now that I made the right choice. If someone actually wants to be with you, they won't lead you on or try to make you jealous. Those people are game-players who like attention. Don't give it to them. (And yes, I do feel like an asshole now, years later, for even getting involved with a girl who had a boyfriend in the first place.)
