Jfc I'm not even in light but you guys are a mess. And I don't mean the flight, just whatever people post on ar.

Ref seems to want to push but has no inclination to organize it. Too many people in light have no idea what a push needs to happen and assume the team is gatekeeping instead of just seeing you poll the flight and then go with the vote and get with the coordinators.

The dang team isn't closed and the stickies are right there these people just don't read them.

light's dom team has been remarkably bad at communication, including a puzzling refusal to use skype less (and a nasty reaction at having it suggested) and it's been an ongoing theme of players going 'we don't feel like you're listening/doing anything' to the dom team going 'DO IT YOURSELVES' (which is fair), to people just deciding fuck it and trying to get across all the red tape that is Ashalyssa's toxic legacy to the team

This time it isn't even someone who considers themself on the team and I have yet to see anything else about skype. Also the people complaining? Did they ever join in things when the push to put it all on the forums started?

There's been plenty of bitching about Light's dom team being locked away and the atmosphere it creates between them and the flight. We literally can't go ten pages before a member of the dom team is on here being bitched out for their shitty attitude.

But when was any of that about anything RECENT is my question. All I ever see is people going on about the old conflict about skype when there's new people getting brought in and helped already and you have one group complaining about the team being closed and another complaining about the new people being allowed to do shit.

It's frustrating to see. No one knows what they want.

It's recent as of literally last week, and certainly as of last battle. The Skype thing is an -ongoing problem- that our team refuses to acknowledge and so it keeps coming back up.

Also, people do know what they want. What you mean is more along the lines of 'why doesn't the whole flight want one thing' which can be summed up with 'because humans'. -I- want the old guard out, along with maybe some acknowledgment of how fucking awful they've been to people, but I'd reckon they don't see it that way (and I can guarantee you the whole of light dom reads and responds to AR).

New people should be allowed to get involved in dom planning without having to jump through a dozen hoops. This will involve poor planning at times, and a few stumbles + the occasional faceplant but that's how a flight grows, goddamnit.

Light is so afraid of losing that it isn't even trying anymore.

If Light had a snotty, bitchy, closed-off dom team that GOT RESULTS, you know what? I could respect that. I could at least point to them and say, "Welp, they may be shits, but it works."

Instead, they're a defensive, condescending bunch of assholes who are so scared of going into a real fight and losing that they haven't gone hard in MONTHS.

Hope you wouldn't be expecting Light to "go hard" with less than a third of the cash spent in VaLights in the vault now.

They do have results, they just aren't conquest pushing enough to fit your tastes? This looks so much like bait it isn't even fun.

I don't know how much you guys have in your vaults. I left the flight a couple months back when I realized that barely conquest pushing was gonna be the new normal. The fact that you guys consider every post expressing anger or dissatisfaction with the dom team or how they're running things to be a baseless attack/bait is also a part of your problem, tbh.

When said posts expressing anger or dissatisfaction come with a slew of insults, no matter how truthful they may be, that's the first reaction the posters are likely to get. It's not by yelling at someone's face that they're "defensive", "condescending", "assholes" and essentially "weenies" that they're going to magically change. It's hard to expect the targeted people not to take it as a personal attacked.

The attitude really goes both ways.

This is an anon meme. People are going to vent their real feelings here, not couch everything in an inoffensive, constructive manner. I swear to God, the fact that the Light dom team seems to think that getting shit-talked on THE ANON MEME is somehow remotely on the same level as them being assholes to members of their own flight while acting in an official dom capacity is beyond the fucking pale.

you can drop the 'they', you reek of ivory tower. but since you seem as out-of-touch with actual dom as the rest of the skype group, lemme give you a little ground info

when the call for conquest goes out, that's when the vault gets it's big influx in donations. the vault spent roughly 40m total during VaLight BUT it only went intl the battle with about 18m, and that's including all the donations leading up to the fight. Currently, the vault sits at roughly 13m + the flight has it's never-been-used Glitter Gladiator service which promises that the vault funds won't be depleted on 25s.

One battle in six months is not 'results', it's laziness and a fear of losing. You're also badly fucking informed about how dom works in Light.

Not to mention, look how big this has blown up. Clearly there's a lot festering below the surface in Light. Change needs to happen.

Good to know I "reek of ivory tower" when I've never talked to any of the "big names" for more than the absolutely essential communication. Also not in the Skype group, but thanks for the assumption.

and I've always got plenty to donate. I -make- money when Light has dom, irregardless of a festival. go do another puzzle or something, you're boring.

The big donation push happens DURING DOM. That's how it works in every flight and it's how it's always worked.

And if you honestly want to tell me with a straight face that taking on ONE conquest push in six months is "results," DAMN you've got some low standards.

We just got that big donation push. During Brightshine. And then we lost a bunch of big spenders all at once, and now people are saying they don't have the cash. I'm not going to say we've been getting results lately, no, but there are reasons to go with the original plan (profit now for conquest soon) rather than setting ourselves up to fail.

My point is that people spent a ton during Brightshine. A ton. Likely millions of treasure each on skins, accents, apparel, lair expansions, etc. And we lost a couple of big contributors to Plague. I really don't think we'd get that big of donations to our vault even if dom were announced to be happening in less than two weeks. Now is just not the time for a push. At least in my opinion.

Now, granted, Ice is pushing again, but before this push in two weeks, they had only done their festival push in January and a push in May. Light got Dom January 10th, February 14th, April 10th, and then for Brightshine. So, wait, who is the one who is not pushing for dom again?

You realize that's one win every second month? And only one of those was an actual battle, at that.
