If it's not a closed list, why are people freaking out about Refrayn and anyone else who's ever tried to get things going? Remember when Fjear, I think it was, freaked the team out by trying to get Brightshine organization going after talking to some people about how there wasn't a thread up yet and then getting one started? And then there are the complaints about Arekuru, who's big sin was to comment on dom without being a leader?

I do! That wasn't Fjaer, I don't think, just a "common" person trying to bounce some ideas off others but there was a bit of stress when people thought they wanted to run the "official" hub. That was so... unnecessary :/

But imo this time they're not freaking about Refrayn, just that the idea isn't the greatest (from the pov of Dom planning)? Idk, maybe I'm wrong, I know all I'm annoyed at is the fact that the idea sounds bad to me. If Ref wants to run pushes or polls, I'm good.

Still, I guess if most people want to walk into a conquest anyway to burn some of their accumulated energy, then whatever...

Can confirm it was not Fjaer, but I'm not going to give the name because they were so miserable about it at the time and expressed a desire to scuttle back into the woodwork. Tbh that was the turning point for me in terms of no longer caring to participate in the in-flight "community" so much anymore. I'm aware there are plenty of good people along with the bad, but the whole thing left me pretty disenchanted with our dom machine.

I'm like the other anon. I don't give a crap that Ref wanted to get a dom push going. I wish someone had done so for an April push, as that would have been good timing between VaLightines and Brightshine. However, the timing now is awful for a multitude of reasons. Not in the least because there was already a poll and a thread up for voting for dates for the next conquest push.

Yea it was fjaer who pushed blutopod to make the brightshine hub, reserve every post on the first page and title it the brightshine hub.
And people were worried because blutopod was a new user who had no experience running anything.

And Arekuru got a bad rep because they're constantly whining about light dom or trying to change how things are run, when they don't even need to worry about the consequences of their decisions because they don't actually dom.
