everyone (on both sides of the argument, actually) always seems to forget that he also made fun of a user who had an epileptic seizure triggered by shock switch, which is directly pertinent to his job. just sayin'

The context of that "fun" is important.

He didn't sound like he was going YES MY TIME IS NOW ABOUT TIME WOO it really did read more like he was going "sigh it had to happen eventually" in a miserable-milestone sort of wat

he didn't really sound miserable, given that his subsequent comment was, and i quote, "Oh it's fine, guy really should know better than to play video games at this point." game developers need to take accessibility seriously imo, especially when it comes to something that could potentially cause injury like triggering a seizure, and he clearly didn't take the incident seriously at all (and iirc was initially completely opposed to even having the option to remove effects in shock switch).

he basically "checked it off his list" that he made a game that caused someone to have a seizure... like, if you're sorry and it's a bad milestone for you, sounding contrite would be a start, you know?

Or not even sorry necessarily, but understanding of the situation, and trying to address the problem, would have been better than how he responded.
