more like cause some people sign up for plague because they want to be edgy or gross or whatever. not all people, but enough to get a reputation, like my flight wind has a reputation for being artsy.
the thing is i'm IN plague and i find this attitude cringey as hell. "oh they hate us cause we're so good at the game teehee!!!" god, just... shut up. stop. do you not have any idea how smug and hateable you sound? because it is "very." if you even kind of believe there's some site-wide hate-on for plague (i don't but apparently these yokels do), why would you put on airs like this and make it worse? if people think you're smug and self-satisfied and that bugs you, why is your first thought "oh i better get all smug and self-satisfied to show the haters they're WRONG!!!"
honestly whenever this topic comes up i feel like half the "plague hate" anywhere is generated/curated by plague users because of people like this who seem to wallow in the "noble martyr" attitude. I'm sooooo glad Light grew out of that attitude recently, and I have nothing but sympathy for the plaguelings that have to put up with these shitty people. I'm all for being smug behind closed doors, but to publicly put on that "Ooooh, you just don't like us because we're the best and you're the worst~" shit is insufferable.

If Plague has a bad reputation, it's 90% for harboring all the site's most notorious shitlord racists, it's got nothing to do with dom.
