Just kidding! Since the attitude in the comm has chilled out a little, I'd like to try another post without a Wanker Thread to see how it goes. The Wanker Thread is still present on the comm, but hidden to you (for now) and will be brought back if any big drama occurs that people feel should be contained. You can still make complaints about things that annoy you on Flight Rising, but let's try and keep the vitriol at a minimum.

I love Shadow and Water eyes and find Light and Ice eyes to be boring.

I love Water eyes too! and Arcane. Ice eyes are so boring, although they can make nice creepy eyes on some breeds. Light eyes are h i d e o u s on warm coloured dragons, tbh.

but water eyes, oooh~ gimme all those beautiful blue eyes <3

I dislike female SDs 8') some of the more recent genes have highlighted their big ugly banana toes so much I can't unsee TOES FOR DAYS anymore. Still A-Okay with the males though.

- i love shadow and water eyes too. and earth, and nature. they look amazing coordinated well, and seeing them less on hatchery type dragons makes them feel more special when you do see them.

- speckfreck is amazing used right. ice speckfreck looks like actual ice, obsidian looks like crushed velvet, and some of the orange range reminds me of fires spitting embers. i like clown too.

- it would be kind of cool if retired stuff came back in very limited amounts, but i don't feel strongly about it either way. it's not worth having giant screaming matches over, and the way people on both sides demonize and harass people who disagree with them is absurd.

- i don't really want open registration to happen. i hope it doesn't. (is that unpopular? i think it is idk.)

SDs are so boring.

Stylised eyes that have taken over skins - the Bill Cipher/All Seeing bs- is overrated and I'm tired of seeing it, and good artists are wasting their time falling for the hype.

Pastel coatl skins/accents are a dime a dozen and I'm sick of them.

I love Plague, Shadow and Wind eyes. They're wonderful.

I think that skins and accents with draw-on apparel/mutations/wigs that go over the line work look dumb.

The ones that work within the lines and shadows creatively are okay.

i love the illuminati bill cypher eyes accent trend. it's my aesthetic

I aggressively dislike imps.

I'm not weirded out by female Fae necks. It did confuse me a little at first, but after taking a closer look, I was able to get used to and accept it pretty quickly. Nothing a swan wouldn't be able to pull off.

I genuinely think wind eyes suit any dragon. I think they're the most "natural" color besides earth (which i don't think is universally flattering because it can be a bit dark on pastels and such). I switched to wind after discovering how well they work with every dragon and never looked back.

Agreed! Also Light and Ice don't look universally good anyway. Wind is closest to that imo, with Earth in second.

Also:

-I really dislike Imps.
-I also really dislike pastels.
-I will happily gene any dragon I love, idgaf if it's a Gen 1 or about 'value' or whatever.
-I Do Not Get the appeal of triples. Genes like PoiTox and PetButt bring in some other colours to make it look better, but IriShimBelly triples and so on are just like, 'why' to me.
-Scarves and bows are great apparel, idc if they're cheap and tacky or whatever.
-I really did not want there to be more lair expansions available and will be pretending they do not exist for the foreseeable future because I had finished expanding dammit.

I don't find it necessary to fully gene up every dragon. There are dragons in my lair that look just fine as basics with no genes or just one gene.

On the other hand I'm totally willing to put genes on any dragon I feel would benefit from them, gen 1 or not. After all, it's not like my treasure's going to do much good just hanging out in my vault, it's not like there's interest or anything.

sometimes i see my dream dragons but then i don't want to buy them just because they're light or ice, exactly because of the eyes. if i do buy them, i throw eye-covering apparel on them, like the hoods and guises

mirrors are Extra Good

i think fem tundras are REALLY cute and i love their little beards :(

i don't get the appeal of WCs and imps, but that's just a personal preference i suppose.

irishim is only good on some of the new colours

i love speckfreck, ripcur, okapi and crackle. gembond is also my general go-to tert

lightning eyes look great on literally everything

i really don't like crystal/facet. they make the dragon look so inorganic and that's not my aesthetic. i don't care much for circuit, for the same reason.

Still dont give a shit about my exalted progens.

I don't care about offspring lists in the slightest. I've bred most of my dragons.

Cry/face is the worst. I can just about cope with one or the other but together? Bleurgh.

I don't have a single snapper in my lair and I don't ever want one.
