Just kidding! Since the attitude in the comm has chilled out a little, I'd like to try another post without a Wanker Thread to see how it goes. The Wanker Thread is still present on the comm, but hidden to you (for now) and will be brought back if any big drama occurs that people feel should be contained. You can still make complaints about things that annoy you on Flight Rising, but let's try and keep the vitriol at a minimum.

Statcounter also logs who sends asks, so it's easy to tell that way.

only the IP, and only if others don't access the ask page around the same time

so, like, I can tell when my stalker is sending me an ask because of their internet service and state, but I haven't got a fucking clue who they are

if they came from their blog activity though that's recorded as the "came from" page on statcounter and you can identify them that way. or you see they end up reblogging a post of yours directly from your blog at a specific time, and you can put those pieces together.

sometimes you just can't tell who a person is, but it's not impossible

there's an xkit extension that logs the times of posts, and it works on inbox asks too. If you get it, you can see what time the ask was sent and that'll really narrow down which IP sent what ask.
