Just kidding! Since the attitude in the comm has chilled out a little, I'd like to try another post without a Wanker Thread to see how it goes. The Wanker Thread is still present on the comm, but hidden to you (for now) and will be brought back if any big drama occurs that people feel should be contained. You can still make complaints about things that annoy you on Flight Rising, but let's try and keep the vitriol at a minimum.

I found it strange because she was part of the flight. She helped out a lot with fundraising and everything and then another user posted up the event she normally ran. When I got a CR from her anyway I went to PM her to ask why she wasn't running it herself and saw she was in Wind now. I checked and she didn't post she was leaving the flight or anything. She isn't in the flight anymore but she's still helping out the flight by doing things she did while in flight.

I was a little upset the user who ran the event did not even mention her name on the thread and she was still the one running the CR's to users and recording everything but the payout on the spreadsheets. She used to accept dragons back herself and now she won't because she is in another flight.

When users up and leave their flight like that I am not used to them continuing to help out the flight they just left like this. I am not ungrateful for her help. I'm very grateful to them for helping us out more but I was surprised that she handled all of the CR's and providing the dragons but wasn't mentioned on the thread at all.

The thread is even a copy-paste of the old ones with a new banner, all the text is the same too. Zero credit to the original or even the one doing the work.

The more I look at it the more I am mad at the Fire Dom Team as a whole. She wrote the original thread, made the original idea, ran it multiple times along with other events to make money for the dom bank. She put a lot of work into the flight events and now the Dom Team can't even give her credit on the thread.

I think the user running the event is shady because they are 'hosting' the event without giving the real host any credit at all.

I'm in fire and I'm not actually sure what you're looking at and/or saying.

There's one event-type thread on the front page right now and neither of the people sending out dragons have moved to wind?

And I have another question- if this other person had originally made this event/activity, have you asked them if they wanted someone to run it while they're gone? It sounds kind of like they've gone on vacation, and that wouldn't be an unusual request if it's something they'd normally run.

Sunsetfoxglove has been sending the majority of the dragons out for the event, she is in Wind now.

Or rather, why it upsets the OP if you're not them. If they're in wind they obviously can't run an activity in the fire forums, so of course someone else would have to put the thread up, talk to people, and otherwise organize things.

Have you considered that Sunsetfoxglove might have requested that Sasga continue with the thread, in the same way that Isti has continued the Safari Zone in Physics' absence?

You kind of sound like you have a bit of a hate boner going on here. Have you actually spoken to the dom team or are you just making assumptions?

I talked with Sunsetfoxglove when I got sent dragons from them. It moved on to PM's because the CR chats end when you accept the CR's.

I asked why they were handling the dragons once they had moved to Wind. They explained they were taking a vacation to their old flight and they wanted the dom events to continue to run while they were away. They said since they have a boatload of dragons they bought real cheap and want to focus on leveling 25's instead for a while they can store fodder for Fire or for Wind.

It's a free for all on who gets the dragons first and she was really cheerful about it. She sold me 20 dragons for 6.5K each since I wanted to do some fundraising for my own lair expansion too and I know she has a thread for selling cheap fodder to flight mates in wind too.

I hope she comes back when her time with the windys is up. She ran a lot of fun events for ifre!

then the issue is not that she's helping fire, but why she decided to change all of a sudden

the blame could have gone either way (that person has a drama history) but tbh i feel a little sorry for wind dom now that they got her

Blame for what, though? The other anon who did talk to her makes it sound like she had something in place so the activity she organized could continue to run while she's gone.

And no one is obligated to tell anyone else that they're switching flights, no matter what the reason. Saying that she's somehow at fault because she decided to do it quietly instead of making a fuss is kind of silly, since she did take care of having someone there to run it instead of just abandoning it.

but she had a thing going on, which she seems to have dropped with short notice (if any at all), and she wouldn't have been the first fire person who gets involved in dom and suddenly moves oof

basically, the fact that she did it all of a sudden, coupled with the fact that there doesnt seem to be credit/mention to her on the thing she did (which some other anon mentioned) means there might have been an argument or disagreement somewhere, and the blame for that could go either way depending on the circumstances. sorry for not clarifying that part.

I find it hard to think there would have been an argument or disagreement if she was still sending dragons to the members who asked for them.

On top of that I never had a problem with the way she ran things or helped on things. She was helping with Flameforger's and every few hours she'd log into the spreadsheet to ask acceptors if they needed funds. If they were online and didn't reply in the spreadsheet chat she'd go ahead and PM them and then send funds.

She ran this event when she filled her lair with cheap hatchlings and waited till they turned to adults. 100 - 120 dragons per run. We would level to 7 as a minimum and it was very effective. Seeing it being run by Sasga seemed a little out of place but I was happy to see she has decided to continue helping us.

not sure about the entire situaton, but isn't it possible that she talked this stuff over with the fire dom team without it necessarily being out in the forums? fire uses discord/slack/whatever, right?

also, as someone in wind dom: nothing shady has happened yet, i don't think there's a need to feel sorry for us. it's all cool

It sounds like she left Fire on good terms and wanted the events she ran to continue running in the meantime. I hope she comes back when her cool down is up!
