Just kidding! Since the attitude in the comm has chilled out a little, I'd like to try another post without a Wanker Thread to see how it goes. The Wanker Thread is still present on the comm, but hidden to you (for now) and will be brought back if any big drama occurs that people feel should be contained. You can still make complaints about things that annoy you on Flight Rising, but let's try and keep the vitriol at a minimum.

I had something similar happen when I posted mine on the AH. Very shortly after someone offered me 20kt and told me a story about how it was their birthday.

I wished them luck finding a dragon in their budget and they sent me a sad smiley face in return.

Most likely it's just people who don't know any better.

I'd probably be passive aggressive enough to send them a sad smiley face in return... I hate when people resort to emotional manipulation, especially when it comes to auctions and buying expensive shit

The best part about it was that when I checked their userpage to see who it was, their birthday wasn't on the 19th, or even in September. So it was pretty much just a cheap shot to see if they could get something for a low price.

I think whenever I'm going to get a begging sob story like this I'm going to make up a way better sob story about my dog, cat, mouse, horse dying all at the same time today even though it's my best friend's birthday who had to move away and can't have contact to me because their parents won't allow them to. And of course my dog ate my long-term homework before dying, so I hatched this Bogsneak egg to cheer me up and therefore can't give it away unfortunately.
