Seconding this.
I think there were a few FR blogs on tumblr specifically meant to call out things like this, but I don't know the names/if they're still active (someone else might know about that).
I'd also rec getting on their art threads and pinging them from there, too, to ask for an update on your art. I've had this exact same situation happen before and seen it happen 100 other times to other people and sometimes bringing bad publicity to their door + letting other people know they're not safe to commission is what it takes to get a refund back.

this new gene looks...alright? i like the spiderweb kind of effect it creates on that nocturne they previewed it on in the thread. i’ll probably like it better when i have a chance to try scrying it on dragons more to my taste.
i realize it’s probably a gem gene since its kinda metallic, and shiny=gems, but compared to glimmer, opal, and even circuit being super flashy and stained changing the entire dragon fundamentally, it feels a bit underwhelming to be in the gem mp. imo. i like minimalist terts but i don’t..12-real-life-dollars like them. speaking generally.

This looks like a crappy accent I'd expect someone to enter in to a fest, not a gem gene.
Pesticide has listed on their profile what genes they've done: Runes - Metallic/Alloy - Lace - Opal - Capsule - Tapir/Striation - Smirch
This new gene isn't listed tho it's possible they just haven't updated their profile yet to add it. But most of those imo are decent genes (I'm not a fan of Capsule and I'm iffy on Smirch but I like the others). I also don't really think this gene is a close match to Pesticide's accent style? I'm not super familiar with their work but I'm looking through their accent thread now and their stuff looks to be MUCH better quality than this gene.

Wow... of those listed, the only ones I don't think are pure poo are Tapir and Striation.

same, i was hyped until i realized the accent color makes it trash. i like the colors my dragons have; that's why i chose them. can i have more options to actually use them and only them please??

to be fair I've bought a lot of questionable fodder priced G1s myself. Toss a few nice scries up some basic bio coding that you can usually find for free in the forums... I can usually make 50-80 gems off of dragons I pay 6-10g for.
now I can't always flip all of them so I do end up exalting them. But I train exalt them and I really don't end up losing anything from it either.

Man don't remind me. I'm still seething over how badly metallic/alloy is on almost anything in the yellow/orange range. Capsule is a clusterfuck where the only really decent color is Obsidian, Lace works badly with just about every thing and smirch lets not even talk about smirch.
I don't hate all Runes but it has it's problems too. Someone needs to quality check this stuff before they release the genes.

I actually really like it when you can match the color of the gem things in it to the elemental eye color.
