They didn't say there would never be lair expansions, but this is what they said in the latest Ask the Team
"While the act of increasing the cap isn't difficult, it does go hand-in-hand with having more mouths to feed and maintain, and bigger load-outs in Coliseum. In addition, lair slots are quite pricey, and new lair spaces would have to be at least as expensive as the tiers below them. While we could just pile on more lair slots, that may not be the best route taken.
We have, however, heard loud and clear that players want more dragon storage. That's something that we're thinking about, even if it ends up not being in the form of additional lair slots."

I am trying not to get my hopes up for lair tabs or similar organization, but I'd happily wait to expand my maxed lair if I could get lair tabs.

The new version of Coli was never monetized. It's nothing they're backpedaling on because farming ad revenue from Coli refreshes was never a thing. So if some people want to expect only the worst from them, that's on them
I think Discord. They're a guest in Winds chat and I think that's where the flag was first raised, but they shared that "art" of theirs in several servers that were then alerted.

it was wind discord, the first linked image is what they were called out on due to another user posting the art they traced a few days earlier. which they denied fully, even after showing the other person's art.
a few days later they posted more art which only showed up on every server but wind's due to them heavily taken and traced a popular wind artist commission. Cuz they did not want the artist to see and they knew the mods there are keeping an eye on them.

but really, they thought they can get away with tracing others artwork on WIND'S Server? The server that has a huge player base and most of them are some types of creative type. Not very smart for them to do.

admittedly I was naive and assumed beta would just be one week long but part of me is like how long should players be expected to beta test for free? I want to find all the bugs but like I also like money or coli drops.
like I would train fodder in beta even with page refreshes bc I want to load test or test keybindings when they arrive but I can't.
so I'm like ignoring the beta even tho I know more data/more load is important... I wonder if a suggestions thread asking for loot tables in coli beta to be added would lead to results. or if there's a tech reason they can't be.

I don't know if they can do that if the beta is supposed to sort of be completely separated from FR in that it doesn't affect the rest of the site in any way. No EXP, no energy loss, and also no loot.
I personally just spent some time in the beta for good measure and then went back to normal coli. I think most or all of the major bugs, issues and things to change have been found at this point.

Seriously though. There's even more of them on DR and it's like...take a deep breath. No one said or implied that there would be no more lair expansions. They want to possibly try another solution.
And I know it's worrisome when something like that is said, since it's a core mechanic, but immediately jumping to the absolute worst conclusion helps no one.

The new art is nice, but I'm not a fan of any of the new monsters except maybe the new river flights. The one boss I've encountered so far (the Arcane one) is just gross to look at, and I can't imagine the other one is much better.
Also the Marens feel even more hilariously out of place there now, at least to me.
But I guess the expansion is cool for the people who like the aesthetic and/or wanted bosses in Waterway.

DA, wtf do you mean tumblr is dying? It's a blogging site that has been thriving for years and will continue to do so. I mostly stick to RP comms but ??? They aren't dying. The userbase is saturated as heck.

I have a chocolate/obs/white WC male and a chocolate/obs/obs imp female.
Last month when I bred them, I got the perfect dragon except it was female (':
I just put them on a nest again and they gave me... Two eggs.
The last two times I've put them on nests, two eggs.
I really hate these dragons and I'm so close to exalting them but I need my project :( I've checked the AH many times for dragons with those colour schemes; chocolate primary is an absolute must, black/white range sec/tert is fine, but like.. HARDLY ANY DRAGONS WITH THOSE COLOURS!! It's exhausting. And frustrating when they only give you two eggs at a time.
I also don't particularly care if this outs me but here's my painful reject that was perfect in every way but a female.

I feel you, anon. I just finished a really difficult project last week. I had to breed a wildclaw with a gem gene and couldn't really afford to buy either, so I had to get wildclaws with the right colors and gem genes. I had to get a lot of coatls too, since there are so few wildclaws being bred and the ones with the closest colors were mostly related. Then I had to suffer through months of waiting for cooldowns and getting coatls with the wrong colors and genes.
I did finally hatch the right baby, though, so I will pass on whatever breeding luck I have to you!

Some dumb problem I have with the new coli updates and the additions of new monsters is that... they look stronger than the old ones.
Like, the new toridae that have been added feel like we should be fighting THOSE at level 24 and not the toridae that were originally in the mire. Waterway toridae are these huge beasts but the mire ones are gators with a few spikes on em. The oldies look like wimps compared to the new ones :c
I mean this is a really stupid complaint but I just feel like complaining somewhere

They most likely got mutated and hulked out bc of the weird things that are down there in the drains bud.
