both claimed tec said she was stepping down and then did (she only said she would if it became a power struggle between her and one other leader, which I don't think it did)
both claimed tec was trying to scam shadow flight w/ the treasury (when people in shadow know she donated a light sprite to our last raffle)
the OP of this one made it pretty obvious that OP is NOT in shadow. Tec edited the post in 9 mins, Snaptrap asked her to post in the first place, Tec posted on one "threat" with four links.
Sidenote, i am very amused that AR managed to predict what dracoon would do almost to the letter.
second sidenote: dracoon has statcounter now (just checked) so? Where are all those screens of tec supposedly stalking her IP? oh wait, she wasn't because dracoon is the one stalking HER. (making 28 rants on your blog about someone in 5-6 months qualifies you for obsessed frankly...can someone dig up that screenshot someone made of all the links to dracoon's rants?)
but seriously someone ask dracoon about the statcounter thing, I can't wait to see what her excuse for it turning out that SURPRISE tec doesn't give a shit about you after all is. or maybe she'll claim tec is stalking her but refuse to provide screenshots...
Not to mention dracoon's main blog liked both of the DR posts about tec almost as soon as they were posted. dracoon honestly...who else outside of shadow has this much of a hateboner for tec? no one else cares enough to do this. and it's so obvious both OP's were outside of shadow or else they'd have been able to check to see whether what they were posting were either blatant lies or gross, ripe ass exaggerations.
I will never understand the buttmad that comes with/at dom leaders.
I get you are throwing your time into something that is a time sink by default (even I don't understand why you would want to waste a month of your life planning and then spend a week straight executing it, like some people do), but at the same time, people get so worked up over this, it is ridiculous.
Drac/whoever is getting pissy needs to be reminded this is just a game.
It's cause it's a thankless job. As you can see with several flights, a lot of the dom leaders get shit but the ones throwing the shit never offer to step up and help.
Personally, I think it's a case of sour grapes and/or jealousy. It's hard work running dom and keeping track of things, sure, but as nonnie said above, the people throwing shit and getting their panties into a knot are NEVER the ones to help out. It's easier to sling shit than to actually lend a helping hand, and lo and behold when the runners get work done, the shit-slingers can't help but get angry and lash out. It's massively petulant but is the only explanation for it, which explains Hrea's asshattery so well. Buur hurr, more fun to shir shit than make an actual effort.
Basically, back when drac was in shadow they NEVER HELPED with dom...but boy did they bitch and bitch about tec and bitch and bitch and bitch and make us look bad. I was happy when they left but...they're still doing it...
Running dominance is an impossibly difficult task, built only for those with the strength to lead people and keep these hundred different threads woven into an approachable picture. There's nothing easy about making decisions for so many players, even in a game.
On the other hand, it's easy to make a judgement about a dominance leader. "If I was them, I would do this..." Everyone does it, and me most of all. It's also part of the job as a citizen of any flight to let your voice be heard (if you care about the direction of your flight dominance), and it's also unfair to assume that a dominance leader has veto powers on all things dominance just because they're more active or have a leadership role. Dominance shouldn't be (and can't be) a dictatorship.
If anything, people should talk to dominance leaders with the respect they deserve for working so hard to help their flight. But that doesn't mean they can't air their complaints or discuss their strategies. The president of the USA doesn't make military decisions without the advise of countless thousands of people beneath him - why should a dom leader have any less support?
