You can't sell FR stuff for real $ but it's okay to have people buy the premium currency from your own site and exchange that for FR shit.

Means that when they buy it, you get the real money without breaking the rules. Shady as hell imo.

Exactly, it's not an easy loophole to exploit, so banning them over it seems contrived
