Even though participation is totally voluntary, and nobody's forcing me to give expensive gifts, and I could just stop doing it if it twists my panties so bad, I still feel really snotty about always giving nice things on the 50k give/get thread and always getting back exactly 50k worth of whatever's cheapest on my wish list.
not all the time but sometimes it gets to me because i see things people give to others and i dont feel that much love despite what i give. it shouldn't matter. but sometimes it feels like someones saying "go away" or "you're just not worth that much"
again yeah i know that's not the deal but self-esteem issues tell me it is.
