There's a pretty big thread back on page 2 I think that gets pretty wincey and lays the situation out pretty well.

Light Dom team feels underappreciated while some Light members are upset because Light Dom team is very cliquey and you have to be in the Skype chat if you don't want them getting passive-aggressive at you and shutting things down. Or, to put that another way:

-LDT chats on Skype, comes up with dom plan
-Dom plan is presented on forum fully birthed but ready for "suggestions."
-Some Acolights ask "Where did this come from and why is so-and-so already in charge of it?"
-LDT is understandably sad because they worked hard on the idea and feel attacked
-Passive aggressiveness breaks out in the forums against whoever asked why the idea came from Skype and not forum discussion
-LDT points out Skype chat is open to all and super-easy to use
-Some Acolights say they can't/don't want to use Skype regardless of ease
-LDT feels attacked and underappreciated
-Some Acolights feel LDT doesn't care about them
-Veiled and not-so-veiled comments pop up on AR and DR
-The LDT feels attacked and underappreciated
-LDT retreats to Skype to vent
-The divide deepens


Bonus!

-LDT goes all out for dom (see: Light v Nature)
-Not all Acolights follow suit
-LDT is sad because why were people not doing everything for the war effort or at least appreciating those who did?
-Passive aggressiveness breaks out, lather rinse repeat above.

I saw the "But I don't want to use Skype..!!" discussion and honestly that just felt like an argument for the sake of arguments from a small minority.

More like an argument for the sake of not having to use a buggy, resource-heavy program that makes everything else run more slowly.

:/ Basically entirely this. It bums me out, nobody's 100% right or wrong in their stance, but they need to learn that other people playing the game differently isn't an affront to the way you play it.

Someone being into dom less than you are is okay, not everybody likes the rah rah fight fight competition, or exalting dragons, or whatever. Chill girl, chill. And someone else pushing others to fight doesn't mean that you need to jump in and say "excuuuuuuuse me, not everybody wants to push harder, and you're a bully for saying that".

Really, I s2g from what I've seen from AR/DR, the FR community just as a whole needs to learn to ignore stuff that they don't like.
