I put a gen 1 up for auction expecting to get somewhere between 200-300k
I'm about to get 11k gems for it instead.
This is my first big auction. I'm so shocked and feel incredibly lucky... now I can gene up some project dragons! Really glad I didn't put an auto-buy too.
It's always good to keep an eye out on the AH too... sometimes you can find really awesome doubles or any other combo for a lot cheaper than what tends to end up on the Dragon Sales forum. I got a couple of my favorites for next to nothing that way!
after I liquidate some of the payment I'll probably grab a ridgeback scroll and some genes first... and also grab a blueprint pack so I can make and release an accent without having to worry about pre-orders. :)
Usually you place an auction with an auto-buy, it gets snatched up right away, and you end up finding out you wayyyy undersold your dragon/item (or always wondering if you did)
Better to leave an action without an autobuy unless you're certain of the value of the dragon/item and the autobuy is well above that.
Congrats, nonny. You did well and those 11k gems will be very useful. Just don't waste them all! Make sure to spend some to ensure more gems in the future (invest before the next reg period, yo)
