fodder is quite cheap right now (7k-8k) on the ah, if you want to train in the mire! the familiars aren't worth the pixels they're printed on, but you can sell the food on the ah pretty well. otherwise i think a lot of people grind in the arena, or you can try rainsong forest for some of the rarer familiars (although i think the market has pretty much crashed for them.) i only ever grind if im dragging fodder along with me, so im not super well-versed on other venues, sorry :
AYRT: thanks! I've actually been grinding in the Rainsong Jungle this week and yeah, it seems the market for the familiars has slowed way down so I was thinking about moving on to somewhere else. It was good money while it lasted though!
Out of curiosity, how do you even find fodder in the AH? I've only ever bred my own fodder or got it through suppliers during dom pushes, so I don't know if there are ~techniques~ or anything to make it easier.
da but I put a set price range in the treasure search option, so it'll search for something like 5000-5000. then I click to sort by price. the oldest dragons will pop up first. sometimes, if you get lucky, adults are even up for that cheap, but you can check out whether the dragon you're looking at will mature at rollover or not by hovering over the egg icon that shows if they're rtb or not.
If the number that pops up ends in a 5 or a 0 (depending on breed) it'll be an adult after rollover. For instance, if you're looking at a baby fae, and it looks like they have 10 days until they can breed, they'll grow up after rollover. if you're looking at a baby wildclaw and it shows they have 30 days until they can breed, they'll grow up after rollover.
oh, it's pretty easy actually! just requires a little sifting. sort the dragons tab so that the cheapest dragons are at the top, and then type a number into the left side of the price range. eg, "5000" and then all the dragons that are 5000 and up will show up for you. (you probably already know how to do this, but just in case eheheh...)
generally, most people search for adult fodder starting at 7k and moving up in 500t increments. for example:
i type 7000 into the price range and check the first few results. oldest dragons are displayed at the top, so if there aren't any adults there, you don't have to look through a bunch of pages and can just move on to the next increment. so not finding anything, i type in "7500" into the price range and search again. if i find adults there, i'll buy them; if not, i move onto the next increment of 8000 (then to 8500, 9000, even 9500 or 10000 if i'm desperate)
generally when there's a big battle going on its hard to find fodder listed on the ah for cheaper than 9000, but you can send those trained dragons in to raffles or buying threads to make up some lost money. when you're just exalting for yourself, 7-8k is a good range to aim for.
i hope this made sense, it is very late here and i tend to overexplain things and ramble when i am tired. the moral of the story is that finding fodder in the ah will make your exalt game SO STRONG ᕙ( * •̀ ᗜ •́ * )ᕗ
