obviously the site has a recurring "glitch" that makes a bunch of code appear from nothing and vanishes if you so much as think about screencapping it, and then half of the people subject to said "glitch" pick a shit tert anyway for shits and giggles. it's the only logical explanation

Not only code on one page, either, because tert selection would involve code on at least two pages and in at least two different languages. But I'm sure it appeared from nowhere for every 100th person or so, because that's SO much more plausible than people simply misremembering.

The argument that annoys me most is the "well it happened with scatterscrolls!" one. First of all, the staff admitted to that mistake and fixed it, so wouldn't you expect them to admit to the tert thing and fix it, too, especially if it only affected a few people? But more importantly, that was a result of one small bit of code being set to pull from 47 colors instead of 67 colors. It's not even close to being the same thing as all of the extra code needed to make tert selection a thing.

I too wear tinfoil hats and ride nude on a giraffe that is also nude, off into the sunset.

In order for it to happen, it has to have been coded at one time as a possibility, and Akiri said it was never there. Code cannot magically appear and reappear on a whim.
