I'm extremely concerned that you're implying this is regular behavior from your attendants on your 'private' sheet. How is anyone who sent to wind meant to feel good about it, knowing they could have been experiencing similar treatment unknowingly?

Not Selah but following this thread I wonder if we're taking it a little far? I've seen other flights' sheets where they sometimes put in fun chatter, jokes, and just general notes to each other, logistics and stuff. At least this is what I first think of following this thread, instead of assuming people regularly bad mouth oofers in private. Or is it just me??

I normally assume people just joke about but we've seen screens and the OP made it sound like it's suggested other. And the way of "no more screens" actually suggested more we haven't seen and it's unsettling? It's a known fact that every flight vents during pushes but it's usually in private chats and more like "I don't want to accept this" and more "Oh boy this is a lot! I'm worried I can't accept it all" but it rarely gets out. Once it does get out, no matter the flight, it's going to have major backlash because people get paranoid what's been said about them and if their efforts are not appreciated.
I think the fact Wind is getting this backlash too over it just proves that no flight is immune to being called out for mistakes.

Oh ok, I do understand people tend to worry about things they can't see and I guess the paranoia is kinda legit. But I also think it wouldn't be very nice to post screenshots involving other attendants. The attendants were told the sheet will not be seen, whatever they were talking about it would probably feel like a good deal of unwanted attention to be posted up here. That was my instinct to the no more screenshot comment.

If there's actually something serious...well, I wouldn't know /shrug/.

I wouldn't like it if more people were named publicly. But we've seen the thread runner do it and we have an unknown OP who also has done it (Not that I want them to be named but that means at least two people) and the tone of both has been saddening to a lot of people. The mere suggestion that there's more is going to make people more sad.
To put it in a real life context, it's like you helped your neighbours out during a community event, and you thought they were all thankful for your contribution. But when you got home, you find out they have a private group on Facebook where they complain about what you did. Even if it was only two people in the group complaining about your contribution , you'd be afraid everyone feels the same. Especially if one of those complaining was the host runner.
While we do know at least two people in Wind hasn't liked OOF support, having it suggested there's more breeds a feeling that Wind as a whole doesn't like the OOF support they've received.
While that's probably not the case at all, it's hard to get that thought out of people's mind.
So while I agree it's not Wind as a whole that's acting like this, I also understand people's fears and anger over the ordeal. It's hard when you feel like your help isn't wanted.

im confused on something...
"While we do know at least two people in Wind hasn't liked OOF support, having it suggested there's more breeds a feeling that Wind as a whole doesn't like the OOF support they've received.
While that's probably not the case at all, it's hard to get that thought out of people's mind."

where did this even come from? being frustrated over a large number of dragons of different lanes is one thing but not wanting the support is another.
If they didnt like the oof support, wouldnt they have stayed off accepting it? one we know of is the host of main thread for it, so clearly thats not the case. Or am i blind and missing something here?

Sorry bad wording on my part! It's very early in the morning here so let me try to explain what I meant.
I think I meant to say before that that it came across like Wind hadn't appreciated the OOF support by this not that it hadn't actually been unappreciated.
But in other notes, sometimes people stay accepting because they think of it as a chore they HAVE to do in order to support their flight instead of it being something they actually enjoy and just find overwhelming time to time. This is a problem in all flights and is hard to deter and probably hard to stop people doing. (some people get stressed into doing things they don't enjoy because they feel obliged to do it even when everyone else tells them they don't have to do it if they don't want to)

I hope that clears what I mean but if not feel to inquire more. My wording of things tends to be my downfall.

That's the difference between reason and paranoia now. Paranoia is by definition unwarranted suspicion.

While OP may actually love OOF support, they were not supported as well or as in the way they would have wanted. And the nerve gets in the way of their thinking. Perhaps they start suspecting why people are making things hard for them. With a lack of understanding for the senders.

Senders, having realized their help was not as helpful or as well appreciated as they would have hoped, perhaps will start suspecting the receiver has actually hated everything they've done so far. With perhaps a lack of understanding for the receiver.

And in fact they may actually want to understand each other but instinctively defensive feelings are telling them to fear and believe otherwise. I use perhaps, because we'll never know what people are thinking in their minds and that's how paranoia gets around.

Wind has given off plenty of vibes that they’re not so enthusiastic about oof support this week. It was listed earlier but in addition to the two people we know for sure who were saying “don’t send me your dragons,” Wind has had some other feelings about people sending large quantities of dragons. They lowered hatchling payouts because people were sending too many dragons, and they rejected the offer of more dragons in exchange for a missed daily badges. And you could argue that it’s hncontested conquest so why should they take in so many levels, and I will argue back because it builds goodwill (or at least doesn’t destroy it) for people to remember when they really DO need the oof support.

Your logic is very flawed. Just because they’re doing something that doesn’t mean they like it. I pick up my dog’s poop on our walks because it’s courteous and expected of me, not because I want to handle shit. OOF support was very clearly a chore or a nuisance for some people this week.

I use to work with the named one, and from personal experience, they really cared about oof support but there has been so much small things all week for them that it seems to have been getting to them. limits were reached this week, so I am wondering if they will do the coming MistJam or step down for this. We won't know till it happens I guess.

when the times come, I feel like wind will pick up and learn heavy on what has happened this week Or at least I hope so...for their sake I hope they do.

Like the anon above, I didn't assume it was more than one person until Selah disclaimed the OP here and started talking about how the other attendants didn't deserve to have screenshots of their commentary posted.

I would not be surprised considering it was pretty much encouraged in the instructions for the private sheet. Too bad they didn’t learn from Lightning to laugh about these things and turn the big senders into memes. That was a great way to deal with the stress of attending. (And that was during a contested battle, wasn’t it? Arguably much more stressful than Wind’s push this week.)
