I am pretty sure both Plague and Earth have conquest pushed with no OOF involvement before. They both survived.

Light literally conquested recently with no raffle. So it can be done. Gonna admit i'm surprised nobody complained about that though tbh, but it definitely can be done. Although they weren't in a battle against anyone, so maybe that was why.

I'm not from light, but wind instead and don't really like anything light related, aesthetic wise. I'll support during Dom if they have better prices, but that's about it since i love me so money. I'm that way with all flights, and I'll equally give hell to all bby ;O I don't really support any flight unless suits my needs, no afraid to admit it~ *shrugs*

yeah, uncontested conquests without a raffle aren't new, some might be have neither raffle nor buy. that's why people feel less inclined to complain, since a buy is still a good deal and it's better than nothing

Plague conquest pushed with no raffle against another flight with a raffle and won, this was in '14 iirc

The meta at that time was that the resources spent on the raffle would have greater impact if they were spent directly in flight on dom instead

Plague got swamped, had internal issues where dom leaders were leaving, and Plague is no longer seen as a dom powerhouse because of that.

I'm not convinced that a flight could exalt enough to beat Earth from inflight exalts alone. Earth IS a dom flight and their exalts are pretty high for their number. I could be wrong.

If I'm not wrong though, then its a tricky situation. A flight needs OoF to beat Earth but cannot let Earth take in more dragons than them from OoF.

I think that flight would have a hard time if Earth pulled in more than a third of what that flight gets in OOF supoort. And that's never possible, because OOF support is always roughly even for both sides. Even when it's skewed towards the underdog, it's never that much.

A flight would have to beat Earth with their internal exalts. Theoretically, without OOF it should be possible, imo, but "no OOF" is both bad PR (everyone will complain they cant profit normally and won't be given any compensation) and unenforceable, as you can't stop people from buying mercs from the AH with their own money.

With the gap that OOF support opens, Earth's not going to be a feasible opponent anytime soon. I will be surprised if they get another opponent after this in a long while.
