Basics aren't as bad as they're made to seem. Some colors look great in basic.
She's really cute! Unfortunately, my flight is pushing too so my lair is full, but maybe you can name her and give her away in hopes that someone will keep her? Or else you can wait until the 18th and give her to a newbie?

i'm seeing quite a few nature flighters getting pretty upset about a new reg right before greenskeeper. uh... multiple flights have dealt with this before so i don't know what the big deal is

i don't remember water flight complaining in 2014 after six months of no new reg, or plague last year after a 4 month dry spell. considering we just had registration last month, this one is probably not gonna be that big...? do other flights complain about this and i just wasn't paying attention or do people really think since we had a very brief downtime that the site will implode during reg again?

I think people are more worried about the site imploding itself during reg since it's already this awful rn. The coli has been crap lately, more members AND a festival prob wont make things any better. But idk how that impacts the flight itself harder?

I think theres some issue about not having enough to give to newbies and pool for the OOF GG raffle though. At least there's an OOF donation thread implying that. Idk, imo people don't even need to gift anything to newbies, or throw any sort of party or whatever. Just think what it would be like with open reg. Set a welcoming thread, try to breed a few extra dragons at most, and/or give away some might fragments.

This random newbie repeatedly keeps trying to trade one of their triple basic fodder-equivalent dragon for one of my hatchlings. They sent a PM saying they desperately needed my dragon for a project but if that's the case at least offer a little bit of treasure or a gened dragon in exchange!

My hatchling was listed around 30k but I was going to lower the price if it didn't sell after a week.. and anyway if someone ever PM's me saying they don't have enough for one of my dragons but wanted to do payments or ask for a reduction I'll give it to them for a much lower price. This person is something else though, I swear.

So I finally got my dream dragon today right after my last Finals. I've been searching for that specific dragon since December! ;w; There has been others like her before with that same exact color combo/eye color/sex, but they kept getting exalted every time when I use the Search mechanics. Best Finals present ever!

Because:

1) A higher stress load on the site helps point out site hangups.
2) They already had a registration window planned before the hiccups this week? (Which the site has been running better than it has in the past month since they did their thing earlier today.)
3) They're constantly working towards open registration and need to make sure the site can handle it. (Related to #1)

ok, so normally I am fully skeptical of people who complain when someone exalts a hatchling they sold, but seriously...(1) the hatchling wasn't at fodder prices; (2) the buyer asked me to hold it for them so they could save up funds to buy it; (3) then they exalted it before it reached adulthood, which means probably within a day or two of buying it.

I mean, what? Obviously people are allowed to change their minds and that's probably what happened here, but it seems like they could've changed their mind while they were saving up to buy it instead. Or something.

I bought a couple of dragons to breed exalt fodder a while ago and while I thought I did a pretty decent job of picking two that would make really ugly babies I wouldn't have trouble exalting, THEY KEEP MAKING REALLY PRETTY BABIES.

Previous anon said they were using 37t/fp plants, 40 fmeat, 60 seafood and 70 insects! Gotta make sure they expire at a convenient hour though (many people on), so they have better chances to get bought last minute.

fodder is quite cheap right now (7k-8k) on the ah, if you want to train in the mire! the familiars aren't worth the pixels they're printed on, but you can sell the food on the ah pretty well. otherwise i think a lot of people grind in the arena, or you can try rainsong forest for some of the rarer familiars (although i think the market has pretty much crashed for them.) i only ever grind if im dragging fodder along with me, so im not super well-versed on other venues, sorry :
