ok why does it seem like half of the time i get pinged to GASP, it takes me to a random page with no ping and no accent in sight

I'm not sure exactly what this practice is called, but it's a thing some people do where they send out packages of gifts over PM randomly, and the message is written in-character like one of their dragons is giving you these items, and a lot of time they're themed around holidays? I want to say they're "gift bombs" but I'm not sure? Anyways I'm going to call them gift bombs for the sake of this post.
So, I got one of these gift bombs for the first time. There's some really, significantly nice stuff in it and I am thankful that the person sending them out decided to give one to me. But I don't spend much time interacting with the FR community, so I'm not sure what's the etiquette on responding. Do I roleplay with one of my dragons in my response? Do I gift them back? Help a socially awkward nonnie out, please? ;__;

when this happened to me, i just responded with a very enthusiastic thank-you! though it wasn't an in character gift bomb so i'm not sure there, but i'd say if you're not a role-player you shouldn't need to worry about responding in character. just a genuine thank you should be enough!

That would be me as well. And there aren't even any reasonably priced dragons to train either. I hate being broke. (I was originally not going to spend any of my own money on dom, but I caved. I guess it was worth it, but my treasure/gem stores really are paltry right now.)
Why is it that every festival since Arcane I've fallen in love with the MP festival skins. Why can't my favourite skins/accents be Coli chests I AM TOO CHEAP TO PAY FOR THEM ;A;

I thought the 117 STR / 72 QCK build still worked? Sylvandyr has the Toridae as only needing 116 STR to be rally eliminated. And 117 still four scratches everything.

Hatched a Shadow egg. Got one off a double. I mean, it's not a completely terrible hatch, with the tert, but I just wanted a double. Would've been neat.
Mourning for the days when selling fest currency was worth it. The undercutting in the auction house is insane and no one in the forums will value them over 1g apiece. It's not even noon on day 1, jfc.
It's nice to not have to scramble for currency no matter what the holiday is, but it makes everything else attached to the holidays that much less valuable.
So Arcane still has the best floater, Wind still has the worst even though I personally hate the wispwillow guide. What flight's floater are you looking forward to next?

maybe i should stop looking through the skin submission threads before the festivals, because i'm so disappointed that most of my favorites didn't get picked that i can't appreciate the fact that everything that did get picked is great too

Does anyone think they might have changed the drop rate for eliminates?
On the one hand, lots of new players are soaking up eliminates (increased demand), but on the other all those players are taking those dragons into the coliseum where eliminates should be dropping (increased supply). I would think if the demand for stones was really outpacing the supply, the price of ambush should be going up as well (especially since you need two ambush stones for every physical build, and usually even one for mage/healer builds). Or is this just an inflation bubble of people hoarding eliminates?

I bet the number of people who farm coli is only a FRACTION of the number of people who buy stones and make teams.
I'm a pretty die hard fodder leveller and eliminates don't drop nearly as often for me as they do for a friend who specifically farms other venues for them.

Does anyone else think the boss drop rate of the new venue is higher than the others? I mean, we have at least a page of all the bosses already. Or is it because everyone's in there, so the boss drop rate is probably higher than usual because of frequency
I think that the admins increase the familiar drop rate for a while when they introduce a new venue. I played for about an hour and a half yesterday and I got 11 familiar drops. I had similar results when Crystal Pools and Rainsong Jungle were new. I remember familiar prices dropping like a rock soon after those venues came out, then rising slowly fora while again later.
Besides digging in Shadow (and Arcane, Ice, and Wind, but obviously you wouldn't bother with those areas this week), it also drops in the Sandswept Delta, from the Shadow Serpent.
I hope there will be some spoopy apparel added to the new venue at some point. I love it and need my dragons to fart bats

I was so not prepared for the similar prices of Rally, oh my god. Now I can decide if I should buy and go broke, or just not finish this dragon until Rally drops for me. D:

Is there any apparel that matches the theme of the forgetools? I have a preference for simple apparel, and I have a dragon who's been rocking his set of forgetools for ages now, but I feel like he's missing something.
I think the tarnished steel set and black woolly items match it pretty well! The embers from the last Flameforger's festival would look good too.
