never really looked to closely before, but the general map makes it look like Light has a giant dong statue (i know its the sundial but the perspective is weird)
Haha, was it really? I guess it was inevitable after getting posted to such a public place. I'm surprised those names went so long without getting reported, really.
Going back to that post on the last page about buying dragons from the AH with unnamed parents:
I hate that feel when you use the scryer to come up with a new project dragon, you find the exact colors, eyes, and even gender in the AH, but one or both of the parents are unnamed. I almost always end up using my almost perfect dragon and hunting for a mate so I can breed something that has named parents
AR more like vague baiting and abstract fishing for drama. Someone could be like "This dom group is doing something shady" and get loads of replies. At least what I've seen for RS. Is making drama that easy?
maybe they're non-functioning and just used as ornaments? like a flightless bird of paradise what with their love of being flashy. there's nothing in their lore describing their flight capabilities.
When someone pings you to an g1 auction thread, and it's far from what you wanted to be pinged for. None of the dragons that are for sale are even skydancers, just scry previews!! -_-
sellers who ping the gen 1 hoarders multiple times for the same dragon: i hope you only get ugly combinations of grey, spring, sunshine, violet, and magenta for the rest of your days
How do people who are waiting for specific G1s to hatch find them? As in, is there a way to search through G1 dragons specifically?
I've been wondering about this for ages, because people even find dragons that have been named other than "gen one" or similar, and somehow people seem to find nice G1 triples whenever someone hatches one of those. Do you just search for specific color combinations and look through all the newly hatched dragons of that combo? Is there a way to search through ranges of color, other than this brute force approach?
I'd love to know so I can keep an eye out for the crimson/sunshine/ivory girl I've been daydreaming about, but also just because I like looking at G1s. :)
Some people just manually search for all 67 triples. I know someone who found one this way.
I use a method where I plug in as many variables as I can (so gender, basic/basic/basic) and then 2 colors at a time depending on what my range is (so if I was after purple/green-range/orange I'd plug in purple-x-orange and cycle through the greens)
And then there's the G1 pinglist which now has a classifieds section with accompanying search feature, so some people use that. I think the more avid searches will search-crawl a few times a day, though.
I don't know why but I keep thinking that there is a tert called Splash. I'd be totally okay with it having a different appearance/pattern on each dragon breed too.
I know the Gen1 market is shit, but what could someone expect for an Ice/Lavender/Denim with Cryface smoke? Already breed changed to Coatl. 5000 kids though.
I just now realized that one of the fodder hatchies I bought for cheap has butterfly wings - it's an arcane shadow/pink/grey boy. Unfortuantely the tert is smoke and looks like crap:
Question is, do I remove the smoke and try to sell it? It would have to be for something in the range of 30k if I want to get the same profit off it, as I would have from training and exalting.
What is the deal with dragontag 1 2 3 etc on Tumblr? Who started it (Rhea or somebody else?) and is there a system or anything behind it with there being several numbers/tags?
Im guessing it was because of the spam and shit on the main flight rising tag but idgi?
It was because of spam in the main tag. There were really bad gore posts in there so the userbase switched to dragontag, then kept adding numbers when the spammers attacked the new tags, too.
