I keep trying to sell an old dragon but every time someone agrees to buy it they just stop responding. I nudge them and they say "oh yeah okay!" and then I send another message and they just stop. No response for days now. And last time I tried selling the buyer went quiet for months straight. I'm worried this new buyer is just going to drop the transaction again and I'm going to have to wait ages to sell this thing because of new color wheel excitement making everyone hold onto their money. We haven't even come to a deal on the price. The buyer was going to negotiate and pay partially with items but we haven't even discussed that because they haven't replied to my message. It's been a week now since I sent it and it's been over two weeks since they said they'd buy the dragon.
I'm also in the middle of an art trade for sketches but the person who set up the trades has sent me one message a month after prompting. I held up my end of the deal, they just say they've been a little slow. I know some art takes time, but damnit, YOU'RE the one who wanted art trades in the first place and it's just a sketch.
These are all people who are otherwise active. I'm just tired of being left hanging all the time. But if I send any more messages, I just seem like a greedy nagging asshole. I don't even care at this point if they decide not to follow through with it, just tell me so I'm not sitting here waiting for your bullshit.

Yep, it's called ghosting and its the preferred method of halting communication for people that are rude or just incredibly anxious I guess. Best to just move on.
Pardon a brief tantrum: There is this one user that is single-handedly tanking the prince on a particular gene because of their obsessive relisting and it is driving me crazy. (No it's not Carnivore.) My auction's already expired once because they've been at this for 2 goddamn days straight.

in my experience, you're probably just not fast enough. people used to cry blue murder about bots whenever new genes came out but myself and a couple friends are good snipers and we got one virtually every restock.
i mean, sure, bots could exist. but unlike neopets where theres multiple typing steps that slow users down (and a bot could do MUCH faster) there's not really a lot of room for a bot to be better than a human here, except for potentially seeing the item first.

Would a 6-digit dragon in the higher 200k range be worth anything? He's not gened and has been bred (6 kids, 1 unnamed).
His colors aren't that great (Obs/Crim/Jade), so I'm not sure if I should just hold onto him for a bit and scatter the shit outta him, or try and sell? If he's worth anything, that is.

Idk that I would scatter him, the chances of getting your money back on it aren't great. Maybe just after the colour wheel expansion when anything with new colours will jump in price. Personally I think his colours are workable with the accents on butterfly.

This is not a bug and is the intended function of the Auction House. When an auction expires it has a slight delay in the time it is returned to you. During this time you will be unable to remove it from the Auction House and it will not be listed in your activities tab.

no, there's no repeat pings. it used to happen, but the admins fixed it.
I just saw on dr someone claim that FR purposefully doesn't choose some festival skins/accents because they're really, really good, and the site can make money off the artists selling those skins/accents for gems. Is that true? Do people have proof that they usually choose second-best skins/accents to try and get users to shovel out gems for the best ones?
